Alabama Governor Honors National Championship Teams
On Wednesday, August 21 at the State Capital, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley honored the 2013 National Championship coaches and teams from the AlabamaConference and NJCAA Region 22. The ACCC and Region 22 enjoyed great success as they captured national championships in Division I baseball, softball, men's golf, and also had the individual medalist in the men's national championship in men's golf.
"What an honor it was for our coaches and teams to be recognized by the Governor. The ACCC is very blessed to have quality coaches, student-athletes, and support from their individual administrators and local communities,"Commissioner Dean Myrick. "It is nice to have all of their hard work and dedication recognized. Not only did we enjoy success on the field of play, but sixteen teams were also named NJCAA All-Academic Teams. What a year it was for the conference and the state of Alabama in athletics, and we can't wait to start the 2013-14 seasons."
