BOAZ – The Snead State Community College men's basketball team extended their win streak to four games in a row Monday night with a 68-60 win at West Georgia Technical College.
Duke Thomas pulled a double-double for the Parsons with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Zach King also had 11 points for Snead State. Cortlin Davis and Jace Haggermaker were the second high-scorers for the Parsons, each with 10 points. Kenny Nabors tossed in nine points.
Snead State also defeated conference opponent Shelton State 81-78 in an intense game Thursday night at Plunkett Wallace Gymnasium.
Chad Watkins was the high-scorer of the night, earning 24 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
Davis scored 15 points, and King scored 11 points for the Parsons.
Haggermaker posted a double-double for the Parsons with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The wins improved Snead State's record to 2-0 in conference play, 6-10 overall.
Snead State continues to play on the road for their next three matchups. The Parsons will return home on Thursday, January 29, to take on Marion Military Institute. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
