Young Lady Sun Chiefs look to thrive

Young Lady Sun Chiefs look to thrive

Faulkner State is looking forward to a great year behind the leadership of returners Kaylyn Ingram, Chassity Kidd, Haley Nichols, Kendall Jonseof, Tanner Earley, Jade Stringfellow, Taylor McDaniel, & Hailey Sullivan.

After finishing 2014 with a 39-22 record and going undefeated in division play this team has big shoes to fill and they are working harder than ever to uphold the challenge to remain Southern Division Champions again this year.

Ingram led the Chiefs in the circle last year with a 23-10 record in 185 innings pitched and a .258 batting average and was named to first team all conference.

Nichols led the Chiefs at the plate with a batting average of .338 and was named to first team all conference and second team all region last yaer.  Other key returners are Earley who batted .308 last season and Kidd who batted.299.

We have 13 very talented young ladies in our freshman class that include Shelby Sorrells, Brittani Peacock, Kaylyn Lary, Kaitlyn Blubaugh, Braiden Gottier, Whitney Rugg, Makayla Reed, Bridget Dall, and I am looking forward to what is in store for us this season.

We are young this year and definitely have our work cut out for us, but with the hard work that the girls put in every time they step foot on the field the sky is the limit.
